Exact match vs fuzzy similar-number enrichment
You send a phone number. We match that number exactly. An off-by-one digit is a different number. Toll-free, VoIP, and ported numbers are still just numbers from Caller ID. We do not approximate a nearby business or “verify the caller” with a fuzzy score.
A list of firms, not a single guess
One number can belong to more than one firm. The response is isBusiness plus a businesses array of { name, confidence }. Address, additional numbers, and contacts appear only when your account is entitled to those slices and they are actually on the record.
What this is not
It is not a call-center suite, not a CRM, and not a fuzzy caller-verification widget. It answers a narrow question well: is this phone number a business, and whose?
